Japanese sound artist Shingo Inao performs live with a sonification of body movement using sensor-driven techniques using two self-made instruments with tilt and distance sensors.
Shingo Inao will perform live at Dis-play 10 as part of the Interactions between moving silence and Canary Islands artists following the basic concept of Moving S¡ilence which is: first having a film or visual without sound and after that we look for musicians and sonic artists who will add a soundlayer. Shingo Inao will perfrom a live soundtracks on visual material provided by Canary islands artists Amanda Lopez.

Moving Silence and Dis-play 10 have teamed up to bring you some live interpretations of Silent movies that will be performed at Instituto Cervantes on July 14 and 15 following the basic concept of Moving Silence which is: first having a film or visual without sound and after that we look for musicians and sonic artists who will add a soundlayer. Therefore Moving Silence proposed a program of contemporary produced silent films to Dis-play 10 for their screenings and events in Mexico City on may 29th and Amsterdam on june 4th whose Soundtrack will be composed by Canary Islands artists. In Berlin at Instituto Cervantes in July 14 and 15 we will turn this process around and let selected musicians from the Moving Silence Network in Berlin produce the soundtracks on visual material provided by Canary islands video creators that will be performed live.

Visual Berlin is a community of video artists and VJs from Berlin, who get involved with cooperative projects and mutual exchange of knowledge and experience with the regional and international visualist scene and who deal with the technological and cultural aspects of their art.The members of Visual Berlin are permanently in an endeavor to analyze and enhance the visual jam sessions to maturate the concept to a new collaborative art form.
